I remember watching video footage of the song at the Jackboot portion and watching James Iha fire a toy ray-gun over the speakers at the same time ( around 11 minutes in) and just being mesmerised. On the album Siamese Dream, it is 8 1/2 minutes, but on Earphoria it was extended to 13 1/2 minutes (the re-release of The Aeroplane Flies High has a 35 minute version) and after the snatch of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, the song continues with this AWESOME riff that also included what is now known as Jackboot. WARNINGI do not own these clips in videoALL CREDITS TO BryUkThanks for BryUk for these amazing sky fighters flying clipsHope you liked it Subscribe And loo. One of the best tracks was a live rendition of Silverfuck. Many years ago, my brother got the live/odds and sods compilation Earphoria. Jackboot is basically just a repetitive riff, but oh man is it a good one. I’m going to go one step further and say that an instrumental demo that had no intention of ever being released until a couple of years ago as a bonus track to a B-side album is *still* better than a lot of the new Pumpkins stuff… A while back I talked about a Smashing Pumpkins B-side that I believed was better than pretty much anything they’ve done since the 2007 reunion.
